Hi,
AFAIK, the RA7000 will only work with the "_CE" version of the software because the RA is a Windows CE (not Windows Moblile) device. I believe the latest version of the CE software was v5.2.0 before the RA was discontinued in favour of the Adventurer 2800. It's possible (but unlikely) that the software upgrade for the 2800 when it's re-released (it was withdrawn due to a bug) will work on the RA7000.
The .MMO overlay data (Routes, Tracks and Waypoints) file format was changed around v5.2.? and is not backwards-compatible, so you may have problems transferring data between the RA and PC software.
For legitimate upgrade information the MM support forum and downloads page may be helpful. But for "Win CE hacks" you will have to look elsewhere.
