Here are 2 'helper' images to refer to when we get help requests. As they say, a picture is worth a thousand ..........

1) Where SOX.EXE goes (in the POILoader folder):

2) The 3 files needed (CSV, BMP & WAV) for a successful POILoader upload:
Notes:
a) Ignore the .prev file, that's for CSV Converter
b) Ignore the 50 to fifty filename, that is also for CSV Converter, this example is just to display that all 3 files are needed with identical prefix names.

A link to the correct SOX.EXE would complete your very useful post Kremmen.

From Andy_P's post
SOX.exe 'working version': http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/downloads/sox.zip

and There's a step by step guide http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/speed-camera-alerts-garmin.php#installation

Hi guys

I have successfully downloaded and installed the .gpx files needed to get the camera warnings and beeps on my system. To do this, I had to create a folder called PersonalPOI and just copy the .gpx files to it. This is working well and all is as it should be.

Now... I would like to expand on this and add the .wav files to get rid of the aforementioned beep. This is where I require some help.

I have downloaded the POILoader exe and installed it. I have downloaded and extracted Sox.exe and copied that to the POILoader directory, as your picture above.

I have downloaded the .wav files that I need by following your step by step guide above but when I run the POILoader software, it generates a POILoader.gpi file which obviously needs to be a .gpx to run in my system.

I'm not quite sure what to do next and am a bit confused about the .bmp, .csv, .wav stage.

Could you point me in the right direction please?

Confused

It's the gpi file you need, and should be placed in the POI folder on your device. This assumes you have a Garmin portable navigation device as per the title of this thread?

...but if you're trying to get the voice files working in a Mercedes, you'd be better off asking the Mercedes crew here https://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=88539&start=195 rather than in this Garmin section.
