I updated my tomtom 920t tonight and also the tomtom home to latest version, and now my tomtom wont boot, I have tried the hard reset 10 seconds at bottom of tomtom also soft reset also thru tomtom home but it wont recognise my maps or boot up, its all genuine I dont mess with the satnav as only use it few times a year. Has anyone had similar problem if so how did they fix it, I tried emailing tomtom but I hear a reply can take days to come, I go away in 2 weeks and need my satnav... can this be fixed by me or is it a tomtom tech support job, it just hangs and sometimes it keeps rebooting so dont no what is wrong with it..anyone any ideas be much appreciated.

What did you update? NavCore or Maps?

If Maps you might need to delete (or move to your PC) the mapsettings.cfg file from the map folder. Sometimes a new map will use the old mapsettings file and sometimes it won't.

Also if you can give a bit more info on what is on the screen and the exact wording of any error messages it might help...

Possibly a corrupt file. Hopefully you have backups of the original working files?

Backup before you do the below if you don't already have a backup.

Delete everything from the 920T and then connect to TomTom Home, and Update...you should be offered the latest files for your device,Navcore and Maps
