Acore AG-600 problem with Ipaq 3870

Hi all,

I need your help. I've been scratching my head for the last few days as I can't get a Sat fix on the Acore AG-600 BT GPS. I've done the following:

a) Paired the GPS with the Ipaq
b) opened the Tom Tom GPS
c) on the GPS tag of Tom tom GPS, added NMEAR 0183V2 38400
d) on the status tag, I can see the dots connecting from the sat icon to the pda icon

That's it!..... sometimes I get one quick signal but that's all.

Any ideas?

Maybe the antenna is fried. Does the receiver have a MCX or MMCX connector for an external antenna?

Thanks for replying mate,

I ran the units battery down the whole day, re-charged it and voila!, it started working.!.

But when I stick the external antena into the MMCX port on the side, I loose BT connectivity.

BTW, you guys are blo$$dy guru's.!
