And for the purposes of clarity, the fault here lay with the XDA and not TomTom or the GPS receiver.
I'm still not sure why you had to resort to using Bluetooth Tools as it should work without but if its working now that is all that matters _________________ Darren Griffin |

You need the tools as the standard BT stack from Microsoft (on my m1000) doesnt allow you to change any settings, BT Tools allow you to setup com port 7 for the GPS.
Worked fine on my way into work this morning :D |

With the latest ROM update that's not the case, I had issues with the early builds on my XDAII but the later v1.72 update fixed them.
Not an issue any more as I installed the WM2003SE ROm with landscape support and it works like a dream _________________ Darren Griffin |

Hi I had the same prob. You have to tell the Pda to connect to the gps over and above pairing. Charge the BTGPS fully and remove battery for at least 12 hours .

It's a cinch to upgrade to the WM2003SE 2.02 Rom available over at [url=www.xda-developers.com]XDA-Developers. I'm running it on my XDAII (identical hardware to the m1000) and it's rock solid and gives OS Native Landscape support. _________________ Darren Griffin |
