I bought a Garmin Quest today, I love it already. There are just a couple of things that really bug me. Are there any solutions to these?

1. Sometimes I have an address, but it doesn't have a street name that gets picked up by a search. Is there a way I can search for a village/town/city without having to specify the exact address?

2. The POI feature would be really useful if it was more complete. Doing a search for local restaurants doesn't return any of the good places to eat around here, is there a way I can bulk import POIs from the Yellow Pages or something similar?

Thanks!

Oh, and I forgot to mention - I'm using City Select Europe v7, the POIs are more or less the same as in version 6.

I am a kind of a new user of Quest as well. Nice toy!.

I think you must make sure you have uploaded int your Quest the maps of the area you are looking for POIs. Have you ever tried looking for POIs in your Map Source yet?

Yes, all the POIs are loaded - there just don't seem to be that many of them.

Bad, very bad!

What I can tell you is "they do exist!" They are somewhere; they might be hidden!
If you tell me exactily what you have done, step by step, I might be able to help, I believe.

Anyway, my suggestion is: practice finding POIs using MapSource with a Garmin Map such as CitySelect in your PC. I have an example: I know a very small and charming restaurant in London. Its name is Odettes. I found it in MapSource European MetroGuide Version 6 (an older version of Europe CitySelect). Its address is 130 Regents Park Road. Its coordinates are: N51° 32.401’ W0° 09.596’. Try to find it and tell me!

Regards
