Haicom HI-303MMF

I am having problems with a Haicom 303. It is very poor at locking on to a signal. This can take upwards of 15 mins, sometimes it just hangs for hours. I have had it connected for several hours in an attempt to charge the internal battery, but this doesn't make any difference. I would be interested to know if anyone else has had problems. I am using TomTom Navigator with a Fujitsu Siemens Pocket Loox. Using the same combination but with an Emtac BT GPS I have no problems at all.
