Help me please !!!

i have just bought myself a navman cin 630 but has no cds, can someone tell me if the icn 630 has drivers itself (where can i download the drivers) or does the drivers come with smartst v2. i am in doubt wether to buy the smartst v2 or the v3 can someone tell me what the benefits are with v3.

Hi,
If you have no CDs and you cannot access the SD card then it is likely you have no maps. In this case you will have no option other than to buy them. Also without the CDs you will be unable to download any updates from Navman as you are required to insert the CD before the download commences.

The options are:
V2 which comes with maps of western europe although it may become increasingly more difficult to purchase now that v3 is out.

V3 comes either as full maps of western europe or a single region. the added advantages of V3 are:

Topographical maps
Itinerary (multiple stops en-route)
Base Roads of Europe
Multiple Destinations (14 in total)
Nearest POI to your location (e.g. Where's the nearest garage ?)
Improved Next manoeuvre arrow icon with distant to move showing correct junction on roundabout to take
Shortest Route vs Quickest Route with an Active Slider allowing you to customise how quick or show short you want the route on a sliding scale
Active Points Of Interest
Ability to Create, Import and Translate Custom POI's
2004 Map Data (Q3)
Address to Address Postcode routing (only supporting 5 digits)
Enhanced Route Summary
Enhanced Zoom functionality
Routing across rivers and inlets using shipping channels

You could also read the iCN510 review which uses the same software but you only need to read the software section of the review.

How can you buy a Navman without maps? Where did you buy it from?You can get more information about Navman from their website but the absence of maps may well arouse suspicions. Try speaking to Navman technical support but be prepared to answer questions about the origin of your system and the serial number and other purchase details.
