Has anyone purchased the US & Canada maps? I've got the ICN610 if the maps are any different.
I travel quite a bit to Maritime Canada (that's Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island), so to purchase a map covering the entire continental USA and Canada seems a little wasteful and expensive to me - it would be nice if Navman could sell regional maps as well (as they do in Europe - UK/France etc).
Has anyone purchased these maps and loaded them? I'd be interested to see a screen shot of what the maps looked like - particulary how much detail it goes down to - both in town and out of town.

I can't find anything except the full unlock for £149 on the Navman Store site here. I have the V2 maps, which don't have a basemap, but if you tell me where you're interested in, I can have a look and maybe send you some screenshots. I can't think that the V3 maps will have any less detail, but my maps are for a PPC, not an iCN so there might be some difference. _________________ Tim
That's uncommonly good of you. £149 is a high price to fork out, only to install the software and find that it doesn't cover the detail you need..
In town location - Post Code B3J 1Y5. 1266 Barrington Street.
Out of town loc - Post Code B3T1W4. 66 Terence Bay Road.
One more, if that's possible, Cavendish, Prince Edward Island.
I just received my ICN610 today in the post - and like most other users, took the car out for a spin to give it a whirl. I'm impressed, and it would be useful over in Canada, but the price tag for such a large area is quite high. I suppose I could add it to a wish list for Navman..

OK, I loaded NS and PEI V2 maps onto my iPAQ and this is what I found.
The postcode field will only accept the first three characters.
I put in B3J and it selected B3J, Canada. I then put Bar into the 'Road' field and it found Barrington Street, Halifax. Inputting 1226 into the 'Number' field had no effect. Showing the map centres on the junction of Barrington St. and Sackville St.
I put in B3T and it selected B3T, Canada. I then put Ter into the 'Road' field and the letters went red indicating no match, so I just left the postcode in and showed the map. It appears to be near Hatchet Lake.
I put in Cav into the Area field and the letters went red, indicating no match. I put Pri into the area field and it found Prince Edward Island. I didn't have a road to put in and when tapping Show I got a message telling me to be more specific. I roamed around PEI until I found Cavendish, but it's only a crossroads at the junction of Hwy-6 and Hwy-13. A few roads shown to the south of this lake.
Let me know if you want any more screenshots, or if you want me to email the four I have to you. They are in .jpg format. _________________ Tim
