SmartSt V2 against SmartST V3

I'm looking at getting an incar navigation system - Halfords, PC World, and Comet have the ICN510, and also the ICN610 currently at £399.99.

However Comet's ICN510 comes with V2 software, not sure about Halfords, but the others are all with V3 software.

Can someone advise me:

a) The benefits/disadvantages over the two units?
b) The differences between the two versions?

Hi Andy

I contacted Comet about this before Christmas, their website is incorrect - it should display SmartST v3, not V2. The reply I got from them stated that their web services dept had been informed and the internet page would be updated very soon.

As far as I'm aware the ICN510 only ships with v3.

I thought that the 610 was for the German market only. That was the implication on Navman's website. It isn't listed under 'Products' and the 'Support' page used to say <GErmany only> when you placed your mouse over its picture.

Both Currys/PC World and also Halfords are offering the ICN610 on their websites at the same cost as the 510.
