I noticed that our icn510's come with pocket windows keys on the back. I was wondering wether or not it is at all possible to unlock the icn as to be able to access the windows features as well.

I believe, though am not completely sure, that the iCN is Windows CE based, but it doesn't run Pocket PC or similar.

Unsurprisingly, Navman are unlikely to want to licence any Microsoft code other than that needed for the navigation software to save money. If you want a Pocket PC with Navman software and a built in GPS, buy a PiN rather than an iCN.

I'm pretty sure, therefore, that whilst there's a Windows CE kernel and related low level components on your iCN, there's nothing higher level such as would be found on a Pocket PC (which has all the Pocket PC code sat on top of Windows CE). Accordingly, there's nothing to 'unlock'.

TomTom GO uses a different approach - TomTom have used the open source Linux OS on an ARM processor. I've not heard of any software for that hardware other than the TomTom navigation software.
