My TTG takes about 2 mins or more to get a fix each day. The sat. info screen shows 7or 8 sats greyed out, but with good signal, which take ages to turn blue. Once, they just flashed blue temporarily for 5 minutes, and I had to restart by ejecting the card to get it to fix at all. Once a fix is made, it works fine.
Any ideas how to speed this up???

Is a the "patch" different to the Nav software? I have version 4.40. What does the patch do?

Getting an 'external' antenna fixed this problem of apparent strong signals but no lock with my Scenic (athermic screen). Does it do it if you start the TTG outside the car? (I know, it's getting a bit chilly first thing). |
