Hi all,
Sideloading is finally coming to iOS it seems, within the next 6 months:
https://www.macrumors.com/2023/11/13/eu-iphone-app-sideloading-coming-2024/
This means users will have the ability to install apps on their iPhone without the need to rely on the App Store or Apple verification.
This opens up a huge door for an updated version of CamerAlert.
Are the developers aware / are there plans to update the app?

At present I am focusing on getting the Android app updated to work with newer phones as the iOS app, although buggy, does still function. Work on this should be starting soon.
The company that will be working on the Android app also do iOS development and this is something we have discussed as an option in the future.

Thanks. That's positive news, for both Android and iOS users.
Agree the iOS version is working (for most!) but as recognised elsewhere, would certainly benefit from updating given it's remained pretty stagnant/clunky for 5-6 years now.

Hopefully your Dev Team will be aware of this with respect to their iOS roadmap?

Updating the app will almost certainly significantly drive the uptake of users for CamerAlert and further enrich the database quality.
