Well so far that was uneventful... thank goodness.
Most of my GPS kit appears unaffected.
Currently only my Trumpion TR-G1 appears affected, but fortunately that also has a manual option for setting for the date.
My TomToms all appear fine and are saving files locally with the correct date/time.
However, I'm not sure if the date is synced each time you click sync or it's running of an internal clock that's only updated if it glides to far?
I guess time will tell when with battery runs flat and the clock stops.
How did you guys fare? _________________ 🔸🔸 Currently using TomTom GO 940 & Locus Map 🔸🔸 |

Hear's my recent experience with my 2010 TT 750 GO LIVE. 4 days ago I got the WNRO email from TT. So, bearing in mind that I had not used it for weeks because of my unsuccessful attempts to load my paid for Map v1025, which resulted in it being "bricked", I connected up the 750 to my PC for a last chance saloon time. There was no update at all, even no GPS Fix. I then went looking for the GPS Fix under Items On My Computer and found in addition to GPS Fix was the previous v1020 Map. After downloading both my 750 was back in action.
After several trials on the road I can report that the 750 is showing the correct time and has a functional map with route finding voice, together with the PGPSW cameras. However, the Traffic is not working and I have had the dreaded orange triangle for the last 3 days. The satnav confirmed that I have paid for Map plus Traffic updates for another week or so but it looks like TT have decided to shut me down a bit early! Guess I'll be looking at the 6200 again with CamerAlert on my old phone or maybe a Garmin. I think I've seen TT replacement offers of £238 for the 6200 and £210 for the 5200. Much cheaper than Halford or Argos.

The TT6200 and 5200 are probably cheaper than Halfords and Argos because Halfords and Argos make SatNavs that are better than TT’s.
That’s a joke (and so are TT).😁 _________________ Dennis
