Hi All,

Since my iPhone 6 updated to iOS 11.2.1 a few days ok when using CamerAlert at night the screen is totally black and it's driving me mad.

I can turn night mode off and then I can see the map/cameras but it's a bit too bright during the hours of darkness....anybody else seen this and any tips as to how to solve?

I assume a setting has changed in iOS and I'm missing this, tried changing display, putting on screen invert but no joy.

Also tried deleting and reinstalling CamerAlert, current database version is 15.122 (44803)

Thanks in advance, I'll upload a picture once I can work out how to do this.

I don't think we actually need a pic of a totally black screen. It's not hard to visualise. Very Happy
But just in case you insist, you have to upload it to a file host then post the link.

Fair enough M8TJT and thanks for the reply.

Only the central screen where the map should be seen is black, you can see speed icon and blue gps lock icon/compass at top as well as 5 icons at bottom.

There are a number of map source options.

Have you tried others ?

Hi Brucey, I thought it was just me, I think it crept in at the 11.2 update, my spec is below

I did ask about the cross and tick for reporting mobiles but no-one replied, has this feature been withdrawn ? I’ve check settings ‘allow transmission ‘ but it’s not there anymore

Cheers

Have tried different map provider and also deleted maps and reinstalled.

If I choose hybrid map type then night mode appears to work on my device as it did until a few days ago.

Same issue here, in night mode or auto mode at night time, display is completely black.

iPhone X, iOS 11.2.2, CA 2.0.7.

Black during time from audio warning until I reach the camera when it returns from countdown mode to list mode.

I can’t manage a screenshot because phone is too far away to be doing the two buttons together.

Still doing black screen. Still crashing when I want to add a voice note.

Will this ever be fixed along with the other reported bugs in a future update? These bugs reported nearly a year ago and still not addressed! Question

But I have this issue all the time. Not just night mode. If I restart the app the map reappears for a while and then the map area will suddenly turn black.
