Thanks - is this for all models, or just the latest?
Happy New Year to all

Thanks for the notification.
Been busy over the last 3 or 4 days - major PC failure. Win10 update trashed the UEFI, which I restored with a re-flash but I then discovered the C: drive was unbootable - corrupted Windows boot manger and C: unreadable.
Then discovered the mo-bo had no USB3 ports (USB2 OK).
I got a new mo-bo and re-partitioned and formatted the C: disk - only to discover the image from December would not transfer. Graphics card kept showing a fault in the Device Mangler so I'm using the mo-bo default, which so far is OK but I've not hit it with Photoshop yet.
So I've been re-installing Win10, associated updates, AV, MS Office, Adobe Creative (old ver from DVDs), Basecamp, &c &. Even had trouble installing my old networked LJ4050TN printer drivers.
Fortunately all personal data from the various backup drives seems OK.
I now have to get the new backup regime in place. IT seems never ending!

I've heard horror stories about Win10 updates and Win10 in general.
Glad I stuck with Win7 for the forseeable future.
Regarding USB3, you often need the separate Intel USB3 eXtensible package for them to work. _________________ Satnav:

New maps installed on the Satnav just fine via GE.
I installed Basecamp 4.6 easily enough but the link to My Garmin seems disabled. It kept reporting no internet but my browser was open at the My Garmin page where I was logged in. The backup for my personal POIs/Favourites restored just fine and latest maps were copied over from the SatNav.
I reluctantly upgraded to ver 4.7. |

Check your firewall on the PC isn't blocking access. |

They were working fine up until the "update". They were no longer listed as a boot option, nor was any USB stick detected. Something got fried. I suppose I could have survived with USB2 only, but it would have made the backup drive very slow. I did have a PCIe card with two additional USB3 ports but they weren't active either. I'd lost trust in the mo-bo by this stage, It was an AS Rock P75 which had been very good. |
