I downloaded the 870 software, then the 860 software. I then renamed them to GUPDATE.GCD and copied to the hidden .system folder. I rebooted the Garmin and chacked the software version, it still shows as 880!! Not sure what I may have done wrong. _________________ Garmin Drivesmart 51 LMT-D Europe

I do only have one I loaded 870 and nothing happened so tried 860. When rebooting, the it doesn't even acknowledge the new file, the unit functions exactly the same. _________________ Garmin Drivesmart 51 LMT-D Europe

Ok, finally got it to load 870 and it still doesn't have UK on it. I was going to try 860 again to see if it appears on that version, but there is no .system folder on 870 to load the update file to. Looks like I will have to stick with 880 and a lack of UK search _________________ Garmin Drivesmart 51 LMT-D Europe

A word of warning for anyone installing software from the Perry site.
You need the Exact software version for your device, or serious harm can be caused to your device.
In my case, I needed the nuvi 25x9 C4 version of the software (unexpectedly).
Often you can find this info using WebUpdater.
Plug in your Garmin and if it offers you an update, don't accept but press the "More Info" button, and it will take you to a Garmin webpage with your exact requirements detailed.
