|
|
Hi, thought I had seen something on this but can’t find it now.
Recent trip to Devon started app on iPhone8 iOS 11.2.6 with Three. I had a 4G or 3G signal nearly all the time and I have plenty of data allowance. I have maps set to display always.
Maps did not download, closed and restarted app, no maps. Warnings and alerts received as usual but only map grid showing, no roads. This remained the same all the way home up the M5. When starting app could see large scale north of UK before the auto-zoom in function started in to the grid only display.
Now sat at home on 4G only (no WiFi) and maps around my location download fine.
Any thoughts? |

Silly question, but you did have mobile data switched on? |

I also had trouble with the map refresh so I turned them off as I don't need them. My phone is out of view and just connects via BT to issue warnings over the car system.
What I don't know is whether downloading Google maps to the phone helps. I've got 2 large areas downloaded but never tested them in anger. _________________ DashCam:

To close this loop and provide help to others if required. It was all data downloads not app specific. Spoke to Three, Reset Network Settings et voila my data is back! |
