But all that does not get rid of the Tick and Cross and the annoying beep with it otherwise giving you a warning. (Or does it? It didn't for me) |

It didn't for me) | It may be a glitch with my system, but with those settings, I see the Tick and Cross, but I don't get the DEAFENING BEEP, just a null sound, causing a hiccup in what I'm listening to.
When looking at the screen dump, I wondered what would happen if I changed "Mobile Confirmation Alert" to "Silence", but as far as I can see, although the Tick and Cross are shown in the manual, I don't see any mention of the "Mobile Confirmation Alert" field. Maybe the developers could update the manual explaining how it's SUPPOSED to work? _________________ Jock

is it just me, but it seems a bad idea to be ticking yes or no on a phone at 70mph?
never touch it.
i'm sure plod would be delighted to spot you pressing the screen in the outside lane! |

Maybe so at 70mph, but by the same argument don't change your radio station, skip CD tracks or adjust your cruise control... |

Invalid logic.
I can do all of that without taking my hands off the steering wheel but I can't tap a tick or cross without taking my hand off the wheel and looking purposefully at my phone. |

As I understand it, the only way the database can be constantly updated & maintained as the most reliable speedcam db available, is by relying on submissions from members, without user input we may as well use the less than reliable TomTom offering. Maybe therefore there should be 2 levels of membership, the first being a regular member who is prepared to help maintain the db by making reliable submissions, & the other a 'USER' who simply wants the benefits of using the database without the hassle of contributing anything? _________________ Galaxy Note 4 / TomTom GO : CamerAlert : CoPilot |

How about for a good submission we give away a period of free membership? We could announce it in the weekly newsletter to make people feel good and maybe encourager les autres? _________________ Dennis
