About to purchase Navman for an impending trip to Canada.
I already have IPAQ 3660 which seems will only run GPS3000 in Europe (3400 not listed as working with this model of ipaq), and neither 3000 or 3400 seems to have north america maps listed.
Having looked on the Navman USA website - they have a model 3420 which is listed as working on the 3600 series of compaqs.
My questions
1. Will the 3420 definitely work with my compaq model.
2. Will it definitely be compatible with Navtech USA maps, and SmartST maps when I get back to Europe.
3.Do I have any other options
Regards

1. 3400 will work on a 3630 and 3660, but not very well. The main problem is the 3630 due to only having 32mb ram, the 3660 has 64mb.
2. I think you can install the US maps, but I don't think you can have the same ones (UK and US) installed at the same time.
3. TravRoute CoPilot and PowerLOC Destinator do both UK and US maps. |
