Great site Andrew. Very easy to use and no slow responses seen by me. My main criticism is not of the site itself but the usefulness of the data. I've downloaded quite a few categories but found them lacking in terms of coverage. I can't give any precise examples at the moment because I'm at work but I will when I get some time at home.
Where does the data come from?
What I would find really usefull is an indicator of how many POI's were found for a given category. Is there any way to find this out from the ASC file? |

One more question...
Is it OK to combine 2 ASC files for example if I download 'Restuarants - Pub Food' can I just cut and paste all of the data into the end of the asc for 'Restuarants - English'? |

If it is OK to combine asc files downloaded from your site (I'm trying to combine all the different restaurants right now) it would be great if there were a little utility that could do it automatically |

Ok, here's an example of a poi list for which there is very little data - Sports grounds and stadiums. Many of the nationwide football clubs are not listed (Barnsley or Oakwell for instance).
However, I've used the site a lot tonight and on the whole I think it's the best POI site I've found by far. Nice job. |

Hi there.
Great site (GPS World and your own POI Download one!).
Are you able to source the info needed for all "Wild Bean BP Garages"?
This would be a great help to me every morning!
Thanks, keep up the good work. |

I have gone to the website, found the required business and downloaded it no problem. I then downloaded the tom tom conversion tool. Yet when I drag it over it only the bmp file is created. Help. |

What are you trying to do? Help us help you and be more specific. It would have been better to start your own thread rather than resurrecting one that is 8 years old |

| It looks like the Domain Owner has allowed it to lapse. You know that Pocket GPS World have a wide selection of POIs available to download? _________________ Jock
