I'd be grateful if someone could try this route, travelling north on the A1 south of Grantham, for me.
Start 52.79871, -0.61093
Finish 52.80181, -0.60977 (Colsterworth Services)
Instead of leaving the A1 at the slip road near the services just north of the start and going in an anti-clockwise semi-circle over the A1 to reach the services (as the Google Maps route does), the 720 route continues to the next slip road and goes in an anti-clockwise semi-circle over the A1 to rejoin the A1 southbound.
Does anyone know if this a routing error, or if there's some restriction on the northbound A1 slip by the services? _________________ Anita

Anita,
It does the exact same thing on my GO1005 with the latest map :/
Very odd! Do you want me to send this to Tomtom?

Hi Anita, my maps are too old to use as a test but www.routes.TomTom.com confirms the routing error. However, www.maps.google.com gets it correct.
Edit - enter the co-ords you provide.
Edit, Edit - Just like buses, nothing for ages then two at once! _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2599

I've just tried this on the new TomTom Android Map which was a lot more difficult than using the Google map but the resultant route was identical to Google _________________ Galaxy Note 4 / TomTom GO : CamerAlert : CoPilot |

If you have an Android device, use play & search for TomTom - On the other hand, if you have TomTom Android, start it up & you should be offered new maps. _________________ Galaxy Note 4 / TomTom GO : CamerAlert : CoPilot |

Same routing error with Tomtom on my iPhone.
But the Colsterworth services are in the middle of a new road layout. There was a roundabout there until recently, maybe the route was checked towards the end of the works when there was a contraflow in place? _________________ TTGO 700 (dead)

I wouldn't rush out to buy it while they're charging full price for it. TomTom Android still has a long way to go before it's a useable & user friendly app, although there is an update overdue which may go some way to resolving some of the issues, such as no direction of travel view in 2D map view. I got it when it was first released & half price but I'd be reluctant to pay even that the way it is. _________________ Galaxy Note 4 / TomTom GO : CamerAlert : CoPilot |

Strange, I'd been wanting to buy new maps for my PND's but not wanting to upgrade the NavCore's to do so. TT had a recent sale for their Android app and I got the Europe version for about 25 pounds, lifetime maps. Happy to be back in TT land. Comfy slippers, pipe and a roaring log fire. Horses for courses.
Agree with you about no "Route up" mode in 2D though. I hate 3D and being forced to use it but they say that they know it's a problem for many and that they shall resolve it. Very impressed that you prepared a route from co-ord to co-ord. Kudos.
Sorry Anita, very off topic. I blame the Vino Colapso, please excuse. hic. _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2599

Much as I hate to say it, I cheated, the co-ord went into Google maps to find the locations, then I had to find the locations on the TT maps, yawn :D _________________ Galaxy Note 4 / TomTom GO : CamerAlert : CoPilot |
