Still no map update for my 940 today (Thursday 7th), no camera updates (not that I use them) except for French Danger Zones and no fuel prices for about 10 days. Other LIVE services OK.

IF you are quoting the correct data in your signature strip, then you have not updated HOME2 to the latest version. That could help 
You should have Home 2.9.4.3058

I had to phone Customer Support and, after a couple of tweaks their end, I got my Map.
As others have noted, HOME seems to hog all the processing power.

Okay, so to be clear, you are saying that you didn't get the maps when they came out for everyone, and then waited until the last day or two, then asked them what was up, and they tweaked your account to get the latest maps and you now have them?
If so, that sounds like we have to contact them too! |

When I tried, over 3 days because of the HOME issue, I contacted CS and they asked me to Rename the TomTom Folder (in My Documents), and try again. When that didn't work after 30 secs I had to close HOME. 20 secs later I was told to open HOME again, and wait for my Device to be found.
Selecting 'Update my GO' resulted in an almost instant response with a complete list of Updates, including the Map, for me to use. I grabbed the Map real quick, with no problems.
That was yesterday. Today, after waiting some 30 mins, I get an error message stating that the Server Timed Out, so I can't get access to the latest Postcode Files. 
I'm awaiting a reply on this latest problem. You can't even go back a version of HOME as it updates itself as soon as it starts.

I don't know if this is connected to the 905 map install, or if it has happened earlier and I've only just noticed, but the file 'TomTom HOME Install.ap' is now marked as redundant, at least on my 550.

This is what I received this afternoon, Friday 8 March when I asked for an up date

I understand that you are unable to install the latest map on your device.
Please be assured that I will do my best to assist you.
I would like to inform you that currently the latest Europe map is not offered via Home and this know issue.
Please be advised that we are aware of this issue and it is under investigation and it might get resolved by next week.
As soon as the issue is resolved I will also keep you updated. Till then I have kept the case open with us.
May we apologize for any inconvenience caused, let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

i have just called tomtom to ask about the update for my tomtom go 950 live
as it's not showing when i connect to tomtom home ,
while i was on the phone Ellen sorted my update out,
she did say that the usa update won't be availabe until next week,
now in the process of down loading the new map. |

| I have not talked to TomTom at all, but Home is now downloading the whole of Europe to my 740 now. Looks like they kicked the server sufficiently. |

Hmm, I appear to now have "Europe" and "Europe West" maps on my device.
Hmm again, on comparing the content of the before and after. Seems that the "Western_and_Central_Europe_2GB" folder is gone, and the "Europe" folder is new. The various POI and favourites are still there. "Europe West" is the map on the internal drive. Confused? I am! But it works, so I can move on... |
