How do I stop the application from flashing up annoying speed limit signs on the screen every few seconds when I stray a mile an hour over the local limit. I've found how to suppress the sound by having "silence" for overspeed warnings but I don't want any warnings at all except for approaching cameras. |

What works for me is.
Go to settings, then scroll to bottom, click on Advanced Settings, then about 4/5 options down you will see 'Overspeed Warnings".
Tap on that and there are a number of options, the top one is to turn it off.
No need to adjust your volume settings then.
See if that does the trick. _________________ Triumph Tbird 1700. And now a Bonnie T100. |

Apart from the obvious solution, I don't think there is a way of stopping the visual, over-speed warnings. _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2599

I had already found these settings and even selected Silence but somehow had missed the None option. Duh. How dumb am I? Thanks for your help anyway! |

Correct - 'none' turns off the visual and audible alerts. 'silence' keeps the visual but removes the audible.

[somehow had missed the None option. :[/quote]
Don't worry, we've all been there
Glad it's sorted. _________________ Triumph Tbird 1700. And now a Bonnie T100. |

MaFt | If using "Silence", should we still be expecting the audio glitch when the overspeed "toast" is displayed? Makes Mick Jagger sound like Norman Collier!! _________________ Jock

Yes, because it plays a silent sound as opposed to not playing anything.

Is there any possibility of adding this to the "to do" list, to not play anything, rather than a "silent sound"? It is valuable having the pop-up remind you of the camera speed limit, but, as I use my phone as my main audio source in the car, it's very distracting having the "hiccups"! _________________ Jock
