Yep
I get the same error message!
I have filed a support ticket with DigiDNA Support, would suggest others do the same to highlight the importance of this. |

Update DiskAid to version 5,4 if you are running iOS6 then within DiskAid go to DiskAid/ Preferences "Advanced" tab and make sure the following are selected:
Display All apps even if they don't have their "File Sharing" enabled
Show root path for Apps
Show hidden files and folders
Export contacts in a single card
Once you have done the above shut DiskAid down for the changes to take effect, restart the software and carry on using the software to add custom POI files/ tweaked mapseetings files etc in the same way as with earlier iOS releases, works fine for me - Mike |

As per post in other thread,
It no longer lets you change anything in the folder where the POI files are stored
You can still access the folder where the mapsettings.cfg file is tored and change it. |

Mike, checked the settings and they are as should be as in your post and still the same. Get the message "Error opening Destination file....Close any other application on your device that may be locking this file" |

As it seems that you can still access certain folders, but not all, does this indicate it is a TomTom issue?
Does anyone think TomTom have tried to lock certain folders, which iOS 6 has just enabled?
Anyone fancy contacting TomTom support? |

I doubt this is a TomTom issue it is more likely to be a change due to iOS6 DiskAid developers will need a bit of time to get on top of whatever has been altered.
What is strange is you can copy files from the map folder on the iPhone to the PC but not from the PC to the map folder, give the dev's a few days and lets hope they can resolve it - Mike |

Looks like bad news people about putting 3rd party pois on your tomtom iphone.
This is a reply from the developers of Diskaid. It looks like you will need root access to your device i.e (jaiilbreak)
This is the quote from there support ticket
It would appear the Apple & TomTom is the reason! Apple have locked out the map folder in the TomTom app! The reply to me support ticket -
"I contacted the developers yesterday and they relay that the issue is beyond our reach being an iOS 6 intrinsic permissions issue. Sorry we can't really help you out any further than that :/ If we discover a solution we will get back to you as soon as possible. If you solve the issue yourself, we would be very interested to hear how you fixed it
There are 2 options open
1. Do not update to IOS6 as you will loose permision to add/replace files in the map folder.
2. Wait for Jailbreak on ios 6 which could be months away if you have iphone 4s,iphone5. |

Anyone with knowledge of jailbreaking care to explain what would be involved?
Do we know yet whether this change in ability to access the folders within the app is down to Apple or TomTom?
Browsing the TomTom forums earlier, I read that TomTom 1.20 for iPhone / Ipad is due out on 28th, could this be the answer? |

Jailbreaking will let you change any file in any folder of your device even if locked down by the app.
I dont know if information on jailbreaking is allowed on this forum, but you you can always google it to find out more about it.
As i say no Jailbreak is available for ios 6 on iphone 4s or 5. If you still have the option stay on ios5 do not update your device. |

Yea you are right the iPhone 5 has a jailbreak. But this only achieved through a developers account and not publicly available yet. Hopefully it will be sooner than later it will be available. |

Is Jailbreaking it a permanent non reversible operation?
I am loathed to risk damage to my new iPhone 5 just for this. i hear that it invalidates the warranty.
Could it be Jailbroken to load on the POI's, then "un" Jailbroken? |
