But as we’re losing ad-revenue from this then why not make a donation towards website running costs?. Or you could disable your ad-blocker for this site. We think you’ll find our adverts are not overbearing!

Now I hate Facebook, but I joined for a purpose and eventually ended up with TWO accounts. I tried to delete one of them recently and following the advice I've read somewhere, have not made any move on that account since Facebook said it was being deleted after 14 days. The 14 days are not over yet.
Tonight, I received this email. I don't think it's genuine, does anybody else think anything? When I clicked the unsubscribe link it took me to some canadian drugstore. I did not click the link at the beginning of the message.
Anybody know any address for Facebook where I can report this?

no, it's a scam.
emails from facebook (i think) have your real name in them. also, if you hover over the link in a decent mail client then it should show you that it's not sending you to facebook.com

Yes, I had assumed that, although I had not hovered long enough for the link to show.
What I believe is that Facebook should have some semblance of a policy for dealing with me in relation to this sort of stuff - y'know, at least an auto-reply when I contact them, saying it's outrageous and they'll do everything in their power to find and clobber the perpetrator. And, of course, an email address to send copies of this stuff to.
But I suppose it's a virus in my brother's computer again, he recently asked me to have him as a friend. _________________ Dennis

Hi DennisN! If you click on 'help' at the bottom of the page, you will see an option 'Report Abuse or Policy Violations', which includes reporting scams. What action Facebook actually take, I don't know.
I've had a couple of similar messages (not on Facebook) with the 'click to unsubscribe' - fortunately, for a gullible type like me, my security marked the email as suspect, so I ignored it. Mind you, it could have been worse than just being exposed to a bit of rogue advertising!
Having said that, if you haven't done it yet, I'd still run a security check to make sure you haven't had any dodgy stuff downloaded to your computer by this message, like a keystroke logger. _________________ David
