I have a GO 1000 and use MyTomTom to receive any updates/maps etc.
About two weeks ago a friend bought a Start 20 which I connected to my computer and MyTomTom to get the latest map guarantee and software as he doesn't have a computer.
The problem now is MyTomTom thinks I have a Start 20 even though my GO 1000 is connected to MyTomTom.
Do I need to contact TomTom to get this fixed, as I am expecting the new map later this month, so I want to make sure my GO 1000 is still linked to it's original email account. _________________ GO 620, Tomtom Android EU,

All I can say is that SHOULDN'T have happened. I've been using almost the same two NAV3 models (a START 25 and a Go1000) on the same PC and the same copy of MyTomTom.
All that happens is that if the "wrong" one is connected from when you last logged in, you get a pop-up window saying something along the lines of:
Is there any chance you accidentally selected option #1 ?
If your Account has got switched over to the Start, then your best bet would probably be a call to customer services to sort it out. _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

I am sure I did not link the Start 20 to my account, but this seems to have happened automatically.
Another thing is when I logged into my account on my GO 1000, the Live Traffic has now stopped working.
Looks like I have to contact TomTom. _________________ GO 620, Tomtom Android EU,

Thanks Mike.
Finally got my GO1000 restored to it's correct account after providing proof of purchase to TT support.
Latest updates successfully installed.
I won't be connecting other peoples TomTom's to my PC in future. _________________ GO 620, Tomtom Android EU,
