Sorry to ask a lame question here. I get both the standard icons and the X2 icons with my downloads, but my IQ Routes XL displays tiny icons. Is it a case of deleting the std icons and renaming the x2 ones to get the larger displayed? Or have I missed something?
Many thanks

The _x2 icons are only displayed top left corner during a warning as you approach the POI location and the device will only warn IF you have set up the Change Preferences/ Manage POI/ Warn When Near POI option for each of the Speed Camera categories you have got installed - Mike |

Thanks Mike
I have indeed set it up as you say. I guess I was used to the old TomTom Go on which the icons were larger (poss cos of the smaller display), so I was optimistically wondering if there was a tweak to get them larger. Just suffer from middle age eyesight (it will happen to you one day).
I will live with it as I know I have it set up right.
Thanks for the continued great site and updates... can't imagine life without you guys any more. :o)
Thanks again... Nick |

Earlier Navcore releases on some devices displayed the _x2 icons top left as full size which is what you will have seen on your other device.
Newer units and those running Navcore 8,3x or newer display the _x2 icon constrained by a small box which forces the icon to appear much smaller.
You could ask whether TomTom have introduced this alteration as a product improvement or was it done to reduce the attraction of third party POI use on their products....... - Mike |
