I've noticed they now use a dark grey/brown background on their signs rather than red. Could somebody update the little symbol?

No, please leave the McDonlds icon the same.

If you make the background dark grey or brown it wouldn't show up very well on my HTC Desire, running CoPilot v8, when in night mode. The present red background displays well.

With the icons being as small as they are, they sometimes have to be tweaked to give a better contrast; to make them easier to see, and sometimes to differentiate them from similar logos.

I have noticed my Asda logo is not displaying properly on my TomTom. When I'm driving and one shows on the map, it looks like it's malfunctioned, it's just sort of black and turquoise. But it looks fine if you look at the list of POIs or on the computer.

btw I'm pretty sure McDonalds use The Cloud for their WiFi but all the POIs here have BT Openzone. I'm not going to change them all myself...

Yes, they used to use BT Openzone but moved to The Cloud about 3 years ago.
