In the last few weeks I must have made almost 100 corrections and additions, and it seems hardly anybody else is! |

Maybe because many have had a satnav, and been members of the forums, for years, and have already built up the database by entering any POIs of interest to them in the areas they travel. You've only had a satnav for a couple of months, so you're making use of those they've already made the effort to enter, and adding or correcting any in your area that interest you, as they did when they were new. _________________ Anita

Hi mccririck,
Please rest assured that you are not the only one submitting updates to the free POIs. I must admit that I haven't done as many as you recently, my last update was submitted on Friday 11th February 2011 for Bletchley Park which is the historic site of secret British code breaking activities during WWII.
I think that Anita has hit the nail on the head by saying that:

Please rest assured that many of us have (and will continue to) submit updates for the free POIs in order for them to be as accurate as possible.
Please carry on submitting updates!

And I'm sure Richard, who administers the free POIs will attest that there are a great many updates each week.
But as with all such things, whilst there are a great many who use the data, there are far fewer who will bother to contribute. That's a fact of life and made worse in this' everything has to be free' web society that everyone seems to expect.
But your input is appreciated. _________________ Darren Griffin |

As a person of a "certain age", I do hope you've included updating all the public toilets in Irvine. _________________ Dennis
