Hi,
Just got a TomTom Start and I cannot get it to stick to the screen.
I've cleaned the screen, removed the film from the sucker and cleaned it but it will not stick at all.
Is this a known issue with this mount?
It's one of these where to have to turn a disk half a turn to get it to sick. _________________ Beam Me Up Scotty This Planet Sucks!!!! |

Try a bit of spit on the plastic and make sure the dial is completely turned clockwise. _________________ David |

Will it stick to anything eg window, side of fridge? If not it is faulty, allowing air in some how? _________________ Mike R [aka Wyvern46]

Yes, the twist-lock ones are generally considered much better than the old Go300 one, so if you can get that to stick well in the same place, I think there must be something wrong with the new one. |

Cheers guys, looks like i'm going to Halfords tomorrow then.
One more thing, I want to install your database on this machine but it has the totmtom database at the moment.
1. Which files do I delete to remove the tomtotm database?
2. Is the procedure to install yours the same as for my 300? _________________ Beam Me Up Scotty This Planet Sucks!!!! |

I would suggest that when you go to Halfords you ask if it's possible to exchange your model with a better one.
You should know that Tomtom Start doesn't allow to set any warning for additional POIs so the PGPSW database is nearly useless.
There is a workaround

but it would be better if you can get a more decent model |
