the simplest fix is to tap the average speed. That will stop averaging and you will see the 30 in the top right corner being replaced by our logo. _________________ Lutz

The Desire seems to feature a lot, does this problem appear on other Android phones?
just wondering if it was a phone issue.

We're looking into it, I don't think it's a phone issue but as soon as we can pinpoint a cause we'll work on a fix. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Mine is a Hero and it is like it just doesn't pick up the last 40 Spec camera and so when I speed up after it I just keep getting the warning. |

And is this whilst running CamerAlert in the foreground or background? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Ignore that, I see you answered earlier.
I have moved this to a separate thread to keep it simpler. _________________ Darren Griffin |

i ( al least ) seem to have a problem on the london A13.
On travelling eastbound and passing the last of the SPEC's cameras it still shows 50mph until way past lakeside ( turned it off ).
When travelling east ( towards london ) it picks up the 50mph for the SPEC's ok....
Using a Xperia X10 with android 1.6....No other programs running |

OK so I went on the same route tonight but with CA in the foreground and no navigator. The speeding 40 message was no longer there.
It looks like it might be connected to navigator running in the background, maybe? |

most definitely not. The entire logic is in the background component (the "service"). The application screen is just eye candy. _________________ Lutz

Well for me at least there is a problem with it in one particular place 5 times in a row with navigator in the foreground and then no problem the one time I don't use navigator. |

major problems with APP this morning.....
TRavelling west from lakeside towards camera zone..
Correctly indicated the new 50mph zone and the new 40mph zone....However it then stuck at 40mph when the speed was at 50mph....
Also still indicated the fixed cameras....when these are no longer in use..
They have been covered up and i assume will be removed or reprogrammed

Major problem? An issue yes, but major?
Cameras that are still present will remain in the database until such time as they are removed from the roadside. They can be uncovered in minutes and so it is not policy to remove them from the database until they have been physically removed.
I take it that this 50 and 40 zone you speak of is a SPECS zone? If so, we are looking at the reports of issues with this, but until we can identify the cause we cannot fix it. But we ARE looking into it.
Your patience is appreciated but we need to know if the app is foreground/background and if the latter, what nav app was being used. _________________ Darren Griffin |
