|
|
Hi, I have a new nissan pathfinder with connect+. I have followed all the download instructions and made the necessary files on a usb stick but I cant get the car to recognise the files. I get a message saying "unreadable file". I have tried both the MyPois file with and without spaces but it does not seem to make any difference. Someone in the Nissan dealership thought the files should be put onto an SD card, but I dont know where this is located on the car?
Any help would be appreciated.
Many thanks |

What does your Connect Manual say? We based our install guide for Connect on the details in the Connect Manual.
Assuming Connect+ isn't substantially different then I'd be surprised if it had a USB slot but required you use some other method for install. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Thanks Darren,
I have read the manual several times and can not find any reference to updating POI's. There is reference to map updates, and these are by DVD. I have tried putting your files onto dvd, using the same folders as usb instructions, but this did not work either.
The usb slot seems to want to read music files. |

Hmm, I wonder if they have dropped support then? Certainly for the 1st Geb Connect, installation of POIs and POIs that need alerts (i.e. speedcams) is clearly documented in the Connect Manual. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Shades of TT simplifying things? |

Don't forget the maximum file size is 8MB and if you have already tried to install larger delete the POI's on the system and try again with less file size total.
I think it fills it up from to large a size then when you try a lower value size it will still fail until you empty the old partly installed PIO's. |
