I've just done this and all working, great work Mike.

One Q though, my warning icons, the X2 ones at top left are much smaller than your screen shot and out of line with the TomTom frame. I'm using an iPhone 4 so I'm guessing this is the increased resolution at work but I thought you had an iPhone 4 also?

Anyone else seeing this?

Mines a 3G, have you still got the TomTom Safety Cameras installed, whilst that won't be the reason the icons are smaller it might reduce some of the clutter, try increasing the size of the X2 icon - Mike

I used a mapsettings.cfg from my wife's One XL. The One XL definitely shows pmobiles, yet when the cfg is transferred across to the iPhone it doesn't show them. Yet it still shows fixed cameras.

Confused!

And you have copied across the pMobile POI files?

Yep, I renamed the BMP to PNG, then copied the entire contents of the folder.

Is the device you created the mapsettings.cfg running the same version and type of map, i.e. IQ Routes V855 - Mike

Spotted the problem I think. Ogg files are missing for the pmobiles.

I'm getting a bit confused because I have a mish mash of Mike's files, and mine. Looks like my speed cam download doesn't have pmobiles in it...

Edit: OK, I have downloaded the speed cam files again, and this time I definitely have pmobiles. Now just need to locate ogg files for pmobiles, if they exist?

They do, in the same place as all the other voice alerts:

Thanks Darren, I'd already found through Google.

Hasn't helped though, even with the Ogg files the same problem.

It doesn't look like it. v715.1689 (the map version).

Some alerts are there, but as per your previous CFG file. The new CFG file is definitely in place, so I don't know whether it has remembered the alerts from the old CFG file, or just isn't processing pmobiles. It doesn't seem to be showing verified mobiles either, but the route demos are starting to get confusing.

Is it possible to merge two mapsettings.cfg files?

Not easily, if you have a large number of Favourites/ recent destinations stored you could pull the old MapSettings.cfg file off your iPhone and use POIEdit to open it, edit it then save it as ov2 file format and add that to your iPhone in the same way detailed in the first post in this thread. Doing this would mean your favourites etc will be available for use to Navigate to albeit from a different menu selection (Navigate To/ POI/ rather than Navigate to/ Favourite) - Mike

Thanks Mike. This works a treat.
Out of interest at what distance are the warnings given?

Many thanks for all the hard work. You have made many people very happy:-)

The distances I used were the normal "times ten" rule so a 30MPH camera is set to 300 yards, a 70MPH camra is set to 700 yards irrespective of camera type - Mike

Darren, I too have this exact issue on the iPhone 4. I still have the tom-tom cams installed but turned off. I haven't figured out from other replies whether this issue has been resolved yet?
