charging battery

hi,
i do not use my sat nav all the time and the battery is usually flat when i come to use it.
What i would like to know is, should i keep it fully charged or is it ok to run it down, i dont whant to do any damage to it.
i have just got it back from repair and was told it was a battery problem.

The battery should be kept charged to about 70% when not in use. I know that is not easy to check, but just put it on charge for about 15-20 mins once a week, which should do it.

Leaving it to go flat is the worst thing you can do. Li-pol batteries do not like it
