|

Afraid that I"ve done something wrong as I am getting a Fatal Alert
saying MemoryMgr.c,Line:3639,Non-word-aligned handle
This is as I am trying to open TomTom Navigator on my Palm T3.
A soft reset doesn"t work.
What I was doing when this happened was looking what was on the supplied Navigator Cd.
I thought that I would install navigator to my pc and followed the instructions to hotsync. After this the fatal alert message apears on the Palm as I open Navigator.
Can I fix this and how do I go about it please.
Thanks
( promise not to fiddle about again ) |

Did you have it working before or is that the message you get when you start it the first time?
Maybe you don't have enough memory left on your Palm? Can you remove some other programs and try again? _________________ Lutz

yep, sounds like you need to reinstall it. By the way, Navigator will not run on your PC. The PC part is only used to install the app and the maps to your Palm or to a storage card. _________________ Lutz

First, if you have messed up the software on the original SD card, it does not matter; you can reinstall from CD.
To get you going, I hope you have a SD card reader on your computer because it makes life 100 times easier.
From the CDs install the software and the maps you want using the advanced option (Rather than direct to Palm). Then simply put the card in the Palm and all should be well. You may need to activate but that is very easy using TTcode.com. I only had to activate my Maps of Western Europe one time regardless of which SD card Iuse (Original from TT or one of my own). I never had to activate the software itself.
If you have no card reader, you need to make sure your card is empty before you start the hotsync as all maps are always synced to the card, not the Palm.

Andrew,
Well we done it, and its ok now. But not 100% sure how we did it.
Wrote Navigator and Gb map to new sd card in card reader. But when we loaded the card into the palm to open the application it came up with the fatal alert message as before.
We sat there thinking and my son asked if there was any reference to Navigator etc in the Palms internal memory ( of course there was ) this was deleted and when we installed the original supplied sd card the application opened ok :D .
Thanks for the help. |
