Just bought one of these from Halfords for £120. with 2 years free map updates, great machine does just what it says on the tin.
But (there always is) where is the external antenna connection on this thing, have a Citroen so satellite pickup is poor, have searched everywhere, and Navigon are hopeless and sidestep the question.

Works fine in my Citroen like most new sat nav units - but its not as quick to pick up the satellites as say a new Garmin
Just wait a few seconds to gain signal before pulling off - its much quicker than trying to gain signal when moving if you have a poor internal signal
Also don't switch the unit off (long hold of button) just put it in hibernation - quick press. Usually does the trick if you use your Navigon daily _________________ TomTom Go Live 6100, 600

Thanks for the info, must be my location and wife hates the thing up by the mirror (only place it can get a lock).
Seems I should have checked for antenna socket before buying, ah well back to the old Garmin, or I could take it back to Halfords and try my luck with an exchange.
My dad's 4310 has never had issues with getting a lock. I would try to do a full reset (look in manual for hard reset intructions) and then follow from the beginning to leave it to get an initial lock.
Reception times can also be longer if left a number of days between uses.
Unless you have reflective glass (big no no for sat navs) you shouldn't have issues or find it only works in one place. _________________ Navigon 8450 LIVE
