X-960 now working on WIN7 64 bit

Hi Ive got a via michelin x-960 could not get it working on vista untill now.

ive had to extract the files from the viamelin CD setup CAB file via i6comp there is a driver INF file in there

and there are 2 makes of the device in there as below

[ViaMichelin.NTx86]
%USB\Vid_1B39&Pid_003B.DeviceDesc% = CE_USB_Inst, USB\Vid_1B39&Pid_003B

[Compal.NTx86]
%USB\Vid_04AD&Pid_0301.DeviceDesc% = CE_USB_Inst,


what i did was click update driver on the unknown device that was my gps
select i have disk and select the compal device. there are only 3 models i chose model 0302 in the list once updated windows mobile device center synced with the device.

i hope this helps anyone out there with the same issue as me

i have also found that sometimes i have to reinstall the compal driver from the win7 driver list as it wont detect the device when trying to re sync
