Hi I am new to this forum and have tried all the suggestions of MyPOI myPOI and my space POI etc. Still no luck downloading to the connect. The system recognises the USB stick and starts the download but just sits there for ever. I have tried nudging with the volume but still no joy.

I am using an apple mac to transfer the files but I don't this should make any difference. The CSV files are saved in windows format and the file is purely transferred to the USB after de compressing. I have also tried 3 different usb's

Does anyone have any suggestions please?

But have you tried \myPOIs\myPOIWarnings with an "s" at the end of each folder name? See Step 5 of the installation guide - http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/uksafetycameras-nissan-connect.php

The "x:\myPOIs\myPOIWarnings" syntax assumes you're using a Windows computer which uses drive letters. Since you're using a Mac - which uses the concept of a root filesystem instead of drive letters - simply translate "x:\myPOIs\myPOIWarnings" into "/Volumes/usbdevice/myPOIs/myPOIWarnings". Or, if you're using the GUI, your USB device will appear on the Finder desktop; simply open it, create two folders (first myPOIs, then myPOIWarnings inside it) as per the guide, and then copy the two CSV files into the myPOIWarnings folder.

Some people have reported issues with certain USB sticks - http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=82255.

Additionally, I did some testing this evening, and can confirm that if the CSV files aren't placed inside the folder indicated above, then the best you'll get is "USB device detected" and nothing else will happen.

Finally, the download of the PGPSW camera CSV files takes approximately 45 seconds. Copying of the CSV files to the Connect takes a couple of seconds (by observing the LED on the USB stick); the rest of the time is taken up by internal processing on the Connect. If you're transferring additional POI files then the download may well take significantly longer. I have not yet tested with additional POI files; I tested only with the PGPSW camera files.

There is no "Windows format" for CSV files; CSV files are simply plain-text files, with comma-separated data. If you're using a utility to convert the files to "Windows format" it's possible the files may end up in a format the Connect isn't expecting. Ideally the CSV files should be extracted from the Zip archive and copied straight to the USB stick without any further processing.

Make sure the USB stick is formatted as FAT, not OSX Extended.
