Hi,
this is my first post in the advanced forum, but I figured you guys might be able to explain or point me in the right direction. Why do you require 4 SATs in order to get a fix on your position rather than just 3? which is what I would have thought. Where can I learn more about this.

3 is enough to get you a 2D fix, 4 is enough to get you a 3D fix and should be considered the minimum for an accurate fix. Obviously the more you get the better. |
