I'm thinking of buying the 750 which Halfords have on promotion at £206.
I have a 720 currently, with my own favourites, Pocket GPS world speed cameras and the Pocket GPS world voices.

Can someone point me in the direction of how to transfer my favourites, speed cameras and voices to the new device please? I'm sure this will have been covered a zillion times before so apologies before anyone points this out to me!

Many thanks

For the Favourites have a read through #15 on the FAQ page Here

For your speed cameras and voice warnings/ configuration re-load a fresh download to the device and set them up from scratch it doesn't take too long and is safer than trying to copy config files from your 720 to a 750.

Be aware you won't have FM Tx, mp3 player or Buddies available on the 750, if you used any of these features with your 720 then it might be time to have a re-think - Mike

Thanks Mike. So what does the 750 have over the 720? Does it have the RDS antenna built into the mount? Is it one of the better "screw-type" suction mounts?

The 750 has the Navcore 9 software so you get a few bells and whistles such as the Eco Route profile, it also has an active dock making fitting in to the car much easier as the mount can stay in place pre-wired. The main addition is the Live services such as HD Traffic, Weather etc, the Live services are subscription based so if you have no plans to continue with the Live services then a different model might be in order.

The x50 mount doesn't have the RDS-TMC receiver built in to the mount, such a mount is available from TomTom as an accessory.

The mount supplied with the x50 is the type that suction locks to the windscreen, by screw type I guess you are refering to the Brodit style mount, again this is available from TomTom as an accessory - Mike

That's helpful thanks. Maybe I will reconsider as it doesn't sound like I would be getting much more than I have now. The active mount won't be too much of an advantage for me as it is quite simple to plug the RDS antenna in when I fix it onto the air vent kit.
