earlier in this thread someone mentioned doing POI's from an AA map, would it be possible to use one of the truckers atlas's and Autoroute, pick up the lat/longs and I think someone said you can use a spreadsheet, but I'm not sure how long all this would take.
I don't think that would be at all relevant, as it would be taking information from one source totally converting to lat/long via MS A Route, thereby changing it, then changing it again to make a POI.
I'm sure Tom Tom didn't go down every single road & track etc to do their mapping they will have used OS etc and just digitised it.
And to do it properly it would need to come from several different sources anyway, so a case would have difficulty getting to court.
However I have been wrong before, and have the writs to prove it.
