Tried a simulation in London & the 3D landmarks showed, which I expected as I have this installed but City View 3D does not show any buildings, even though that is installed also. Landmaks & city view are both turned on in options. Navigon say not all cities have City View 3D but surely London would. I tried Bristol & London but all I get is Landmarks & no 3D Buildings anywhere. any suggestions? |

I've just done a simulation from Horseferry House/Bridge to Pall Mall and the featureless grey '3D City View' building blocks certainly came up, together with the Parliament 'Landmark View'. I'm not sure how far out from the centre this feature covers.
It is of course different from Real City View which gives a more realistic representation of buildings (I haven't got this on my 'old' model and I must admit I get a little confused between the two ) . CV is, I believe limited to the centre of those cities where it is implemented, which does include London. johnandmarkuk has certainly got this on a simulation as well, in Birmingham I think.
Not sure which you have. Try my simulation - what do you get?
(I am assuming of course that you have your display set to 3D!) _________________ David

i just tried the route you described, (Horseferry House/Bridge to Pall Mall)& unfortunately I get no featureless grey '3D City View' building blocks. I do get the Houses Of Parliament etc as I also have 'Landmark View' installed. |
