|
|
Hi All
Does anyone know how to change the sound alert for the RDS TMC when the traffic situation changes?
At the moment it presents me with a beep which is the same beep I use to inform me of an approaching Gatso.
It would be nice to be able to change it to something else.
I'm using a TT One XL |

I guess with Traffic you only have the choice of Beep or No Beep.
If you are using TomTom's cameras, I'm sorry for you. Change their sound to something else.
If you are using our cameras, the choice of sounds for cameras is very wide - I use one which not only announces the upcoming camera, but also speaks the speed limit covered by it - "Warning, Gatso ahead, speed limit 40 Miles an hour." (And our camera icons are much more user friendly too). _________________ Dennis

You could mess around taking the data.chk file to bits and moving the sound files around within it but, each new Navcore release/ update would require the task repeating as that file gets replaced each time - its not rocket science to work out how the file is assembled with a hex edit application on the PC, get it wrong though and your device won't boot up - Mike |

I am using the Tomtom camera sounds. I'm also a subscriber so I use the PGPS cameras.
I shall have a look on how to install and use the voices.
Thanks for your help |
