8410/ 8450 Live shipping date?

Does anyone know when these are actually going to ship ?

I get Peed off with anouncements of products that you can't actually buy.

What is Navigon's track record on stuff like this ?

Will it be literally a week or two?

I need a satnav soon, really like the look of this, but don't want to wait for vapour ware.

According to the Navigon website the 8410 seems to be available but the 8450 is still in the offing (there is still a 'set reminder' flag for it). And see also the thread

The 8410 is available now on the International site (price in Euro's and shipped from Germany).
Navigon are not always quick at updating the UK website for some reason.
8450 LIVE still not available even in Germany, but was never expected to be released before Oct anyway so I suspect the 8450 model will be shipping very soon.

As for UK places to buy from Amazon UK, Dabs and BT Shop are all now showing them. Dabs and BT were showing a estimated 5 days until stock arrived.

Suspect the 8450 model manuals will soon be showing on the website.

Out of the 8450 features, I'm most interested in the LIVE services as it gives a always updated POI database. If anything you get free access to google for finding locations while away on holiday.

Well: I phoned the Navign "hotline" today ( 5th oct 09), and they said they are expecting to be taking orders the middle of this month: though the lady had no ideas how long it will be from taking orders, to order fulfilment. She said keeping an eye on the website is the way to see, and will be sooner than through any distributor/ retailer.
