Hi Mike. Why the warning before it has finished? |

Probably because TomTom Home is stupid, seriously there might not be adequate space on the device internal memory to house the full map with all its Advanced Speech Recognition files (one for each country), although if I were to put money on the reason why I would go with my first answer! - Mike |

It should be installing on the sd card, not the internall memory surely |

I have seen some other posts where the newer versions of Home were trying to install a map to both locations, as I said last night the Home application is stupid and probably to blame for this - Mike |

Just received an e-mail from TT today saying a new map is available - I have the update service.
I already have v835.2419 on my device from last month - is there something new out there????? |

I have now tried twice to download updated maps on my 710, first time the server timed out after around 45 minutes second attempt is now showing 1 hour 20 minutes and slowly decreasing, rather pathetic in todays age. |

Hi Cuddy
You already have the latest map. I had the same email and one wonders if there is any communication between the different departments at Tomtom HQ. As I have said before, both the Tomtom device and software are great but Customer Services and all other Tomtom departments are extremely poor. In other words, the left hand doesn’t know what the other hand is doing. _________________ Tomtom Go 720.

I have been told, by TT, the map update email was sent out in error.
I am in discussion as how to get an update for the second map on my 930.

I've had 2 emails telling me my new map is ready to collect. The first was addressed to English Bas and the second to me by name apologising as the first was the language.
When I get round to connecting my device I'll check the version being offered but I guess it'll be the one I downloaded last month. _________________ TT Go Essential |

v835 is currently the latest map so either your sig details are incorrect or TomTom were correct that there is a new map available - Mike |

Had the same two e-mails.
Three guesses for what I got when I fired up Home.
Well I doubt anyone would need more than one. No new maps waiting so no idea why I got the e-mails |

Think yourselves lucky - with half a dozen current TT registrations I've received the same two emails to them all!!
And this morning it looks like they are starting up with a round robin for Traffic at 25% discount. _________________ Dennis
