| Thanks for the swift response. I've searched online to try and find out where the Navigon will get its data from but can't seem to get anything detailed. I await the launch to find out how HD traffic and the Navigon system compare. |

Hopefully when the Live units appear in the online store they may have more information. The only information at the moment is the IFA press release details.

The traffic information on my 8310 (Premium TMC) is from Traffic Master2009 (I assume that is the data carrier?). If Premium TMC was to be from anywhere else on the 8450 I'd have expected news of it!
There are two ways of getting early warning of releases:
(a) - go to the Navigon website and sign up for a release reminder , or (probably quicker  )
(b) - wait till jonandmarkuk posts on here!
Incidentally there is a data sheet for the 8410/8450 from the Navigon site, though it doesn't say too much.

Looks like Navigon maybe updating the FAQ section on the German site as it's down at the moment.
If information will appear anywhere it will be there.
Noticed the shop listing a codec add on to play DivX video files, pleased about that as when I saw mention of WMV I was disappointed.
