|
|
Today I received a message from PayPal that my repeat subscription to yourselves was declined.
Not because I did not have sufficient funds but because I did not have a backup funding source.
After an enquiry to PayPal they told me that it is a requirement of yours that there be a backup funding source.
This resulted in my subscription expiring.
Had there been no requirement for a backup funding source the renewal would have gone through without problem.
So quite what was acheived by that funding requirement I can't really figure out.
I may have gotten hold of the "wrong end of the stick" and appologies if I have done so, but if it is a requirement set by yourselves, from where I am sitting, it doesn't really make sense.
Happily I was not away when the message came through and so I am able to renew today but suspect that my length of subscrition will be set back to zero.
I am a fan of your speed camera database.
Keep up the good work, it is appreciated.
Regards
Mike Valente

The funding requirement is certainly not a requirement of ours as far as I am aware. As you say, it would be of no benefit to use to require that this be so.
Can I ask you to raise this issue via our support system so that we can investigate. As we will need information from you that cannot be posted here that is the preferred route, please email support@pocketgpsworld.com _________________ Darren Griffin |

do you have a copy of PayPal's wording? i'm 99.999% certain that it is paypal's requirement and not ours!
it'd be interesting to see how they explain things as they already confuse about 10 people a month with their badly worded 'subscription cancellation' email...!
