I'm back home post op at last. Six days isn't long but a lot has happened in them six days!
I'm still re-cuperating and adjusting to my new life so won't be visible on the forums much in the next week or two but as I get used to the new status quo I'll ease myself back in slowly.
For those of you who have no idea what has happened, see my blog here:

Welcome home Darren. I suspect that 'get well soon' is a bit ambitious (having just read all about it on your blog), but there you go |

Seconded Darren, Welcome back.
Take care of yourself and take the time to get the extra inches back slowly and steadily.
That's one hell of a gadget you have got there. Is it better than the standard RDS-TMC antenna?
All the best. _________________ Ric - TomTom 520 DEAD - Passed to the great traffic jam in the sky. Now using Maps & Waze on Samsung Galaxy S4 + CamerAlert of course! |

Get well soon Darren and hope the recovery goes as well as planned.
Puts the operation I had this week into some perspective as I was lucky to be out after 2 days. I must say the NHS here who worked on my back were excellent and nothing but professional. |

Fascinating write-up in your blog Darren - reminded me of my Meccano set when I was a kid!
Sounds like you're going to be ok. |

Good luck Darren, that sounds like a tremendous few months you've let yourself in for there. I hope all goes well and without any complications.
Obviously you're in for the long haul with a lot of leg pulling on the way!
Seriously though, I wish you all the best of luck in your recovery. _________________ Mike

Thanks all, it's slow going but I'm getting there. It's taken me most of the morning to get up, shower, dress and descend the stairs! Hopefully I'll get faster as time progresses but leaving the house or sitting at my desk is an as yet distant dream! _________________ Darren Griffin |
