has anyone else with iGO on the iPhone had this 'issue'? quite regularly while igo is loading up i will get the 'bing' to say new email has arrived yet i have it set to only fetch emails manually...!!
slightly concerned that igo is sending something via email resulting in the email app being opened and therefore downloading my emails.

Had this today with coPilot? on a longish trip...
first time its ever done that ...

hmm... maybe it was copilot then. i ran copilot then closed it and opened igo. only had gprs signal so could have just taken a while to get the emails...
i wonder if it something to do with the live link? if it essentially sends an email to my contacts to update the status

have just tried it with ONLY iGO and shortly after the app loaded i got the 'bing' for new email... so strange...!
think i'll email nav n go about it!

Quite a few, in fact a lot of Iphone apps and games 'ring' home, this is an anti piracy measure, not sure about 'e-mailing' home though, as soon as I find the relevant source for this I will post it.

yes, but it's not the mobileme account that is getting the emails. it's my main imap account which is set to fetch manually. and it ONLY happens when igo is launched (and possibly CP8)
